Defense Wide Startegic Sourcing (DWSS)

The DoD Wide Strategic Source contract was sponsored by Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) whose primary mission is to provide U.S. Naval forces with quality supplies and services. With headquarters in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and employing a worldwide workforce of more than 24,000 military and civilian personnel, NAVSUP oversees logistics programs in the areas of supply operations, conventional ordnance, contracting, resale, fuel, transportation, and security assistance. In addition, NAVSUP is responsible for quality of life issues for our Naval forces, including food service, postal services, Navy Exchanges, and movement of household goods.

Advantage Professionals of Raleigh, LLC d/b/a Autonomic Resources, Cary, N.C.; has been awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for administrative and clerical services in a pilot effort on behalf of the DoD-wide Strategic Sourcing (DWSS) Program. The contract awards encompass one two-year base period plus a single 3-year option period. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, Pa., Work is expected to be complete October 2008.
