Autonomic Resources has been selected to provide LAN Support Services for the Head Quarters of the Air Force Materiel Command (HQ AFMC).
04/07/08 - HQ-AFMC has chosen Autonomic Resources for their LAN Support needs under a Performance Work Statement awared in April 2008. The contract is to be performed at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in the Dayton Ohio area.

12/03/07 - The AFEI Open Technology conference focuses on the deployment of Open Technologies, Standards and Architectures in Military Systems. Fostering collaboration and interoperability across DoD is enabled by adoption of open standards and architectures, and development practices that minimize redundant software and enable a more agile information environment.
The primary objective of the DoD Open IT Conference is to explore the issues surrounding the deployment of open technology; present case studies on successful use in government organizations; and present practical guides to the use, development, deployment and maintenance of open technology systems within U.S. Department of Defense information technology systems.

11/12/07 - Autonomic Resources was welcomed as Corporate Member of the Open Source Software Institute (OSSI). The Open Source Software Institute (OSSI) is a non-profit (501 (c )(6)) organization comprised of corporate, government and academic representatives whose mission is to promote the development and implementation of open-source software solutions within U.S. federal and state government agencies and academic entities.
As an Open-Source ADVOCATE - OSSI serves as a collective resource and venue for the promotion, development and implementation of open-source software solutions between corporate, government and academic entities.
As a Research and Development FACILITATOR - OSSI serves as a facilitator and coordinator of R&D projects, systems and application evaluation and development and academic studies regarding technical, policy, economic/market and legal aspects of open-source software.
As an Open-Source POLICY CONSORTIUM - OSSI serves as a forum for working committees of industry, governmental and academic representatives to address open-source issues in regards to government/industry standards, academic research, economic/market and legislative policy.
Autonomic Resources plans to work closely with OSSI in the advancement of sensible and prudent adoption of open source solutions that assist our customers in meeting their mission objectives.

Autonomic Resources presents at Data At Rest DAR Industry Day.
08/21/07 – Autonomic Resources was invited by GSA and the DoD to present information regarding DAR solutions at this important event which included federal, state, local, tribal, US Coast Guard, Foreign Military Sales, and NATO organizations. The event allowed agencies to become familiar with the newly awarded SmartBUY/ESI DAR BPA product offerings and ordering process. Anyone responsible for acquiring and implementing information assurance tools had the opportunity to be in attendance. Many agencies expressed the need to address OMB Directive M-06-16.
The Industry Day consisted of briefings presented by the BPA holders describing their DAR SmartBUY/ESI solution. Other discussions/presentations included overviews of developing aggregate buys through the collaboration of several agencies to quickly establish such agreements that may cross federal, state and local governments

Autonomic Resources Selected to Provide Information Security to Government Agencies for Data on Mobile Devices.
06/26/07 – Autonomic Resources, a progressive source of IT solutions for government and commercial customers, today announced it was awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA Number FA8771-07-A-0308 ) to protect sensitive, unclassified data residing on government laptops, mobile computing devices and removable storage media devices. Through the SmartBUY enterprise software program, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded Autonomic Resources one of ten data-at-rest encryption contracts with a five-year duration and the potential to result in contract values exceeding $79 million.
With the current IT environment of highly mobile data and the evolution of increasingly smaller devices, protecting data at rest has emerged as a mission-critical function for government agencies. Devices such as laptops, USB flash drives and PDAs with stored personally identifiable information and sensitive government information can pose a large threat if compromised. Autonomic Resources partner level moved to System Integration (SI) level with Red Hat.
03/31/08 – Autonomic Resources has been selected and approved at the Systems Integration level for Red Hat. The program will enhance Autonomic's service offerings into the Open Source Linux community of solutions.
